Every morning Ms. Lauzon and I set up Learning Centres throughout our classroom. Children choose what centres they would like to explore. We have Literacy (e.g. letters, writing and reading), Math (e.g. numbers, counting, 2 dimensional shapes, patterning, 10 frames, graphing, measuring), Building (e.g. big blocks, Lego, Mr. Potato Head), Sensory (e.g. pasta, rice, frozen sea life, water table, sand, beans), Listening Centre (students listen to a story on CD and follow along in the book), Art (cutting, gluing, painting, making prints, drawing), Fine Motor Skills (e.g. lacing, play dough, fun with tweezers, making letters with wiki sticks) and Dramatic Play (e.g. house centre, make-up studio).
